So its been a long time since I or anyone has posted anything on this blog! Im sure everybody knows that i came home on a medical release at the end of september.. I came home on September 30th but then i found out about the possibility of a service mission, that i could do while i was home.
I found the Bishops Central Storehouse down in salt lake out by the airport. I went down and took a tour with the manager Richard Humphreys and i liked it alot! I ended up starting a mission down there on December 15th and I signed up for 6 months. I have liked it alot down there! There is about 30 missionaries down there with me, only 3 are sisters. Most of the elders I work with are special needs, all of them are at different levels but they all work super hard! Working with the special needs is probably the most fun part about being down there, there is never a dull moment working with them, they are a lot of fun! and I love working with them!
I started out doing things like dust mopping the 500,000 square foot warehouse or sorting pallets, which i didnt like a whole lot to be honest... dust mopping for 6 hours isnt very exciting.... but now I pull orders to be sent out on trucks to bishops storehouses all across America, which is a lot better! We get about 20-40ish trucks a day on average going in and out, so its busy! I will be down there until at least June 15th, I have the option to go back to Florida around March 30th i think.... but if i go back out i wont go back out until after june 15th.
Overall i have enjoyed being down there alot! I dont know if anyone still reads these or not.. haha. but if anybody does heres what ive been doing!
